Iran: Gohardasht prison, Karaj- political prisoners Khaled Hardani denied medical treatment

Khaled Hardani, a political prisoner in Gohardasht prison, Karaj, west of Tehran was suffering from severe abdominal pain and fever on Saturday, May 30, 2015. The prison guards did not do anything for him, so he was taken to the prison clinic on a stretcher by his prison mates. He needed more treatments beyond the capabilities of prison clinic, but he was denied transfer to the outside hospital.

The prisoners demanded that Mr. Hardani be moved to an outside hospital for necessary treatment, but the prison guards rejected the demand and left him suffering while clinic couldn’t do anything more for him.
Mr. Khaled Hardani has been suffering from a variety of physical complications including gastro-intestine problem, kidney, lung and heart disease for some times. Despite repeated attempts by doctors in the prison clinic to move him to a more facilitated clinic, the guards have denied him treatment and all those efforts by the prisoners have also failed.
Since the installment of noise producing system in Gohardasht prison, most of the prisoners including Mr. Hardani have become sick and developed numerous physical disabilities and pains.
